Welcome to Asbury United Methodist Church!

Chesterfield, New Hampshire

Celebrating our Heritage:

Asbury Church is called the Mother Church of Methodism in New Hampshire.  The First NH Methodist gathering took place here in 1772, and is the oldest Methodist meeting place in New Hampshire.  The Church is named after Bishop Francis Asbury, whose 45 year ministry covered 300,000 miles and 16,500 sermons.  Under his direction, the church grew from less than 600 members in the United States to over 200,000.  Today there are 12 million people who call themselves United Methodists.

Practicing our Faith:

It is our belief that we are the hands and feet of Jesus for our community.  Not only do we worship and fellowship together, but we actively practice our faith through local and global missions and ministries.  It is our goal to be people of change to our community and beyond.  We believe in supporting eachother as we move through our individual faith journeys.  Although we encourage each member to explore, develop, and discern there own pathway to God, we believe and encourage those travels through stewardship, fellowship, service, discipleship and outreach.

Worship with Us:

We worship together each Sunday Morning, at 10:00am, and welcome you as you are.  In our worship service, you will see blue jeans and suits alike.

We are a family and children service, offering a weekly children's message, Sunday School, Gopel Kid's Childrens Choir, and additional childrens programming.  We are not a church to worry about your child crying during worship.  We welcome all who are interested in visiting us, and look forward to meeting you.

Come and let us surprise you with our faith!
